Melrose
Easter Bonnet Parade &
Easter Egg Hunt

Each year following Easter Mass, the fine ladies of Melrose parade their
bonnets to a "standing room" only crowd.  Each participant is treated to
flowers, and their are never any losers.  Everyone wins.  Following the
parade in the social hall, their is ,the great Easter Egg hunt for the kids
on the front lawn of St Patrick's church.  This celebration marks a 
WONDERFUL beginning for an Easter Day-- and another example 
of the joys of life in small town Iowa.
