Tee
Time:
Morning
Tee time @ 7:30 am, Afternoon Tee Time @ 12;00 noon, It is recommended to show up
by at least 7:00 am for the morning and 11:15 am for the
afternoon tee times.
The afternoon tee times are assumed full at this point in time -
all teams that participated in the afternoon last year have
their choice of a morning or afternoon. All new team
entries will automatically receive a morning tee time until
afternoon tee times become available (if any).
If you participated last year and would like to switch from the
afternoon to the morning, please contact Brian Vestal at:

Various Challenges:
$10,000 Hole-in-one, Land your Ball in the 8 foot circle,
longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin and more.
Mulligans:
Each team can purchase 5 mulligans for $20. Each player
gets one mulligan and the remaining mulligan can be used by a
player as designated by the team. NOTE: Not every team
member gets to hit when a person uses a mulligan - if they do,
then they each would have used their mulligans. In other
words, each team gets 5 free shots - 1 free shot per
person and 1 floater. MULLIGANS CANNOT BE USED ON HOLE IN
ONE CHALLENGE.
Food:
Food is being catered to the clubhouse and will be served at
5pm. All players will have a free food ticket with their
round of golf. Non-players can purchase food tickets that
day from the Melrose Betterment for $5.
Social Club:
Anyone interested in attending the
Melrose Open but not participating in the golf game is invited
to gather at a designated hole (to be determined) and encouraged
to cheer-on your family and friends while enjoying some light
refreshments. As well, FOOD TICKETS will be sold for
$5 to those non-players who wish to eat.
Awards
Party:
A post-golf awards party will be held
at Country Side Club house around 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be
given out for Best score, Best score runner-up & 3rd
Place, Longest putt,
Longest drive, Closest to the pin,
“Eight Foot Circle” hole, Hole-in-One Challenge for $10,000.
PLUS many more prizes will be given out.
Hotel
Accommodations:
SAME PLACE AS LAST YEAR..on Army Post/Fluer--but they've changed
name to Best Western--phone 515-975-2507--be SURE to tell them
you're with the MELROSE GOLF TOURNAMENT--rooms will be $84.

Sponsors
are being recruited and any profits will be donated to Melrose
Community Betterment. Businesses or individuals who are willing
to become sponsors are requested to mail their sponsorship to
Melrose Community Betterment. Checks are to be made out to GOLF
OPEN-Melrose Betterment. (same as above address). Proceeds
are going toward saving & renovating the Mainstreet Bank
Building--with a new roof planned this summer.
