This virtual tour through our Irish named streets will show you the rich Irish heritage of

our town. Founded in 1882 by Irish immigrants we extend to you 100,000 welcomes!!

Melrose loudly boasts of it's IRISH roots, but the truth is, Melrose is home to and loved

by many a person whose forefathers never touched the shores of Ireland. We think

you'll love it too.

When you visit our town in person be sure to kiss our very own Blarney Stone located on

Shamrock Street in the heart of our town.

Legend has it this Blarney stone was first located on North Hill on the site of the oldest home

in Melrose. For years, kids used it for hide-and-seek, king of the hill and other games. Then

it was discoverd this treasure is actually a piece of a genuine Blarney stone from Ireland brought

over by leprachauns during the potatoe famine. (??)

Kissing the Blarney stone will bring you Good Luck.
